The VALOREM Group has selected Eclipse to optimise a hybrid battery storage facility
Eclipse, a European player specialising in the optimisation and aggregation of energy storage assets, and the VALOREM Group, an independent French renewable energy producer, have announced the signing of a contract for the optimisation of a battery storage system with a capacity of 11 MW / 25 MWh, co-located with wind farms. The site, developed by VALOREM, is due to come on stream in January 2027.
Under this agreement, Eclipse will ensure the asset is utilised to its full potential across all electricity markets accessible to the batteries (Day-Ahead, Intraday, system services and capacity mechanisms). Using its Flowstream optimisation platform, Eclipse will adjust the battery’s dispatch in real time in line with wind power generation, with a particular focus on optimising the Turpe.
This new partnership validates the coherence of the model proposed by Eclipse for the management of hybrid sites, confirms the performance of the Flowstream optimisation platform for this type of asset, and brings to fruition Eclipse’s ambition to become the leading player in the flexibility market.
We value Eclipse’s fundamentally multi-market approach and the quality of the monitoring interfaces it provides. These tools enhance the interaction between the VALOREM Group’s multi-technology portfolio and the electricity system. We are proud to work together to fulfil our responsibilities as a responsible operator.
Eclipse is delighted to support VALOREM in its hybridisation strategy. Optimising a battery co-located with a wind farm requires an agile and high-performance platform: this is exactly what Flowstream offers. We are honoured by the trust placed in us by the VALOREM Group and look forward to commencing operations.
