VALOREM Group and Caisse d’Epargne Aquitaine Poitou-Charentes finalize financing for two photovoltaic power plants
VALOREM Group and Caisse d’Epargne Aquitaine Poitou-Charentes announce the financing of the Poucharramet (14.4 MW) and Barbarade (3.3 MW) photovoltaic parks located in Haute-Garonne (31) and Puy-de-Dôme (63) France respectively. The senior financing amounts to €13.8 million, plus €3.2 million in ancillary facilities (VAT + RSD), for a total investment of €15.7 million. This success demonstrates the strength and mutual trust of the new partnership between VALOREM and Caisse d’Epargne Aquitaine Poitou-Charentes.

Poucharramet and Barbarade: projects developed by VALOREM Carcassonne agency
These parks illustrate the VALOREM Group’s ability to design tailor-made projects adapted to the specific characteristics of the regions and the nature of the land concerned.
Since 2016, VALOREM has been working closely with the elected representatives of Poucharramet and the Haute-Garonne Chamber of Agriculture to develop an agrivoltaic project located south of the municipality. Located on land that has been fallow for more than 30 years, this project combines sheep farming and green electricity production. It will enable these lands to regain their agricultural vocation while contributing to the region’s energy transition.
In Barbarade, in the Puy-de-Dôme department (63), VALOREM was selected in 2013 as part of a call for projects launched by the Michelin Group to convert a former landfill site located in the municipality of Billom. The first photovoltaic park was commissioned there in October 2019. Building on this success, the Barbarade extension project was launched the following year, with a building permit obtained in 2023. This project repurposes an industrial wasteland by transforming it into a renewable energy production site.
Construction of the two parks will begin in September 2025, with commissioning scheduled for spring 2026. The Poucharramet park will have an installed capacity of 14.4 MW, compared to 3.3 MW for the Barbarade park. Together, they will generate nearly 24.2 GWh of electricity each year, equivalent to the consumption of 5,680 households.
These projects will be accompanied by crowdfunding operations, accessible on our dedicated platform: MonParcVALOREM.com.
