VALOREM Group is finalising the ATLAS refinancing, a €220 million transaction covering 192 MW in France, and has announced the launch of a corporate debt raising
VALOREM Group, an independent renewable energy operator for the past 30 years, finalised the refinancing and legal restructuring this summer of a portfolio of 15 renewable energy power stations, known as ATLAS, with a total installed capacity of 192 MW.
The ATLAS portfolio comprises eight wind farms, six operational solar photovoltaic power stations and an energy storage project, all due to come on stream between 2021 and 2026 across mainland France. These assets benefit from a solid track record of operational performance and a generation potential that will continue for many years to come.
This transaction enabled the VALOREM Group to raise €220 million in debt, structured in collaboration with its long-standing banking partners, thereby strengthening its financial position and securing the development and financing of its future renewable energy generation assets.
Following the VASCO (2017), ELCANO (2020) and OLYMPE (2024) transactions, ATLAS constitutes the VALOREM Group’s fourth asset group structured as a portfolio.
A refinancing carried out with the support of trusted partners
This key milestone was made possible thanks to the ongoing support of the VALOREM Group’s banking partners, who share its vision for the energy transition. The Group would particularly like to thank the Crédit Agricole Group, Société Générale, BPI France and the BPCE Group, as well as the advisers for their support and expertise throughout this transaction.
Denis JOUBREL, Chief Financial Officer of the VALOREM Group, said: “We would like to extend our warmest thanks to our banking partners for the renewed confidence they have placed in the VALOREM Group through this fourth portfolio transaction. ATLAS demonstrates the strength of our business model and our ability to structure ambitious financing arrangements to support the Group’s growth and accelerate the energy transition.”
Furthermore, VALOREM has just launched a corporate debt raising operation of approximately €250 million.
